A Chair

In the last issue of Milieu magazine – there was a photograph of a room that I have become slightly obsessed with. I just love everything about it and can’t quite put it out of my head. It’s not a fancy room or a cluttered room – it’s very quiet and restful, as it should be because it’s a master bedroom.

But it’s what is in the room that struck me. It’s an Oriental chair. No, not a French bergere – but an Oriental one – a Chinese elm chair to be specific. Well, that’s shocking to me. Available link for download

3DS vs 3DS XL

The 3DS console was the superior upgrade to Nintendos previous console known as the DS. Similar to the original DS, the 3DS also comes in an XL size. We take a deeper look into which 3DS (original 3DS vs 3DS XL) is the best.

At first glance the most obvious choice one would make is that the XL is the better option, as it has the bigger screen (right?).

Lets start with the original 3DS first. The 3DS was a nicely built handheld console. It felt great to hold in the hand with its glossy feel and premium quality build. At the time of release there was not much complaining to do in terms of screen size as it was the first console to show Nintendos 3D function in action.

Similar to the dimensions of the original DS, the 3DS could easily fit into a jeans pocket or placed into a rucksack side pocket with ease. With the hard shell and decent hinge structure there was not much concern for the device getting damaged. A 3DS case also did the trick but could obviously not fit in ones pockets.

The 3DS XL was released shortly after (similar to pattern of the DS XL) and at first there were some noticeable minor differences between the two devices.

Firstly the stylus in the 3DS was placed at the back. This was sometimes troublesome to quickly whip out as one had to actually look at the back to see what they were grabbing. This was fixed in the 3DS XL as it is placed on the side so could easily be taken out.

Then the Start and Home buttons were made into proper buttons on the 3DS XL, whereas on the 3DS it felt more flushed within the area and was not raised.

The headphone jack was also moved in the 3DS XL from its original place.

Another noticeable difference was that the 3D led was removed in the 3DS XL. Not that it made any difference to the performance of the device.

Finally we come to the major difference between the two devices and that is the screen size. Upon closer inspection of the larger top screen size it becomes apparent that the bigger screen is more pixelated than the smaller screen. This is understandable as the screen has been enlarged but we were left disappointed that Nintendo did not increase the resolution of the larger screen. Had they have increased the resolution we could have enjoyed the bigger screen with a much higher level of clarity.

The bottom screen also faces the same pixel density problem was the top, however both screens are enjoyable with their bigger size and after a while it becomes unnoticeable.

The build quality of the 3DS XL has also suffered compared to the original 3DS. While the original 3DS felt more premium with its hard and glossy finish, the 3DS XL feels more of a cheaper plastic material with a matte finish.

Being an XL model it can (somehow) fit into various pockets if that is what you wish to do, but it is advisable to carry the 3DS XL in a carry case.

Comparatively the 3DS XL is nice console that offers a larger screen to enjoy all the 3DS games on (Fire Emblem on the XL looks nice). If you are conscious about portability and are mobile alot then it is advisable to go for the original 3DS.
If you do not mind carrying your portables in a carry case and/or are not that mobile then go for the 3DS XL. There is no definite winner in this case between the two as each have their favorable and adverse points to consider.

A Grails JUnit 4 test template

Grails 1.3 upgrades the bundles JUnit to the newer JUnit 4 API. However, the test template used to generate classes by the Grails create-* scripts is still very JUnit 3-ish. Heres a replacement that will generate a skeleton test using JUnit 4 conventions:

To use this just run grails install-templates then copy the contents over the file src/templates/artifacts/Tests.groovy. You can delete anything else in the src/templates directory that you dont need. Then every time you use a Grails command such as grails create-service foo the generated test will use the JUnit 4 template.

5 Unbeatable Ways To Do Better Blog Commenting

In this post, I am going to share some killing steps to do better blog commenting and getting your comments approved for sure. Blog commenting, if done properly, can get you a high number of back-links to your blog. It also increases your visibility among your niche blogs. Most of the bloggers are aware of these facts and working hard but improper blog commenting leads them nowhere.

After learning about the right ways to do blog commenting and after applying the fundamentals on myself, I have now decided to write about it to share with other bloggers. So, here we go with 5 unbeatable ways to do better blog commenting.

1) Make a proper plan for it.

Anything or everything in which you want to do something good, should be planned properly first. You can not go to any blog randomly and leave a comment to get beneficial back-links.

I suggest you to make a list of 20 blogs of your niche with a good page rank ( 3 or above ). You can do a search for this list. Now start going through each of these blogs, start reading posts that you find interesting and beneficial for you and start making comments. If your blog is new and needs more back-links like mine, you need to spend more time than you think on blog commenting. I would recommend you to keep at least 90 minutes for blog commenting in a day.

Besides back-links, you also need to improve your popularity among your niche blogs and for that too, you need to do blog commenting on a regular basis. After learning the proper strategies to do blog commenting, I have not left a day without blog commenting.

2) Throw away your hesitation.

In the starting stage of blog commenting, you will surely feel a little hesitation on leaving comments on others’ blogs. You might be spending 15 minutes thinking a lot for a single comment- whether I should write it or not? Will my comment be approved or not? Does my comment looks foolish? If you feel like this, don’t worry,it is normal but you need to vanish it soon. Follow the rule of ‘think less and do more’. Author of the post on which you are commenting has also passed through your stage. He will definitely encourage and appreciate your action.

So just keep you hesitation out of the room and start commenting now.

3) Cut down regular spammy words.

If you write in the comment box ”thank you for sharing this post, nice post, thank you for the information, great post, great work” or any other such words, your comment is never going to be approved. Remember, you are commenting on a blog that has a good page rank. How can expect an experienced author to approve your comment that looks spammy?

For better blog commenting, you need to read the post thoroughly and understand it first. Then leave such a comment that shows, you have gone through the post and you are not posting this comment just for back-links. Posting an original and natural looking comment not only grabs attention from the author and other readers but also improves your knowledge about that particular topic.

4) Get your photo on Gravatar.

If you have not put your face on Gravatar, do it right now. Most of the bloggers take this factor very lightly. I personally mark such comments without any face as spam. If you are living in a society all time with a covered face, who will engage with you? No one. Blogging is also a society. You need to show your identity. This is a basic but most important factor to be considered for better blog commenting.

5) Suggest or inquire something valuable.

Reading the post completely and understanding it and then leaving a normal comment such as ”I liked this advice” or so has become an old fashion now. To grab more attention,You can suggest or add something valuable in your comment that is related to the post. You can take this example, this post covers five important points about ”how to do better blog commenting” and you have one more point in your mind other than these five, just write it in the comment box.

Now, with nothing to lose, Arjun lays down his terms: "I have 7 hostages! And I am giving the Police 7 hours to find out the killer...! I need progress every 60 minutes or one hostage dies every hour!!" The clock ticks and the investigation begins.

Movie Review

The movie is awful its not even worth watching for free. In the middle of the movie I got so bored that even though it was raining heavily I took a cab and came home. Its not even worth downloading. You want to see the movie just watch the trailer and sit at home.It is equivalent to watching the movie. Dont waste your time. Its so predictable you will hear the audience murmuring and Bingo! that is the surely guess the suspense. They call it thriller. There should be a new category for this movie called boring. The duration of the movie is two hours but in the middle of the movie you will feel like its been 7 hours and there are more 7 hours to go. Once again, Dont waste your time, money and energy watching it.

There are a tiny number of core ideas or techniques most germane to the concepts of growth and balance. Three of them are:
1) “Love and Fear compete for the same place in your heart.”
2) The “Chakra” model that suggests that a healthy human being without fear barriers will automatically evolve toward higher expression.
3) The “Ancient Child” model is a “sigil”—a “symbol of power” constructed of overlapping symbols.   A sort of conceptual mandala.   While there are probably about ten different powerful concepts overlayed one with another in an elegant fashion (and no, I won’t talk about all of them. Your conscious mind just gets in the way) there is one core aspect that I find most fascinating:

a) Human beings are genetically programmed to feel protective toward children. Not an absolute, of course, but those big eyes and round faces just kill us.
b) All human beings experienced love and protection at some point in their lives.   Whether you can consciously remember it or not, is irrelevant. Humans who are not nurtured in infancy wither and die.   “Failure to thrive.” Period.
c) Most of us will accept conditions and associations we would NEVER want for our own children, or people we love

Combine these three artfully, and you can create magic.

Therefore, if you can imagine reaching out to the “child” part of yourself, and make that emotional/conceptual connection, you begin to feel self-protective on a level most don’t experience.

WE WILL DO THINGS FOR THOSE WE LOVE THAT WE WON’T DO FOR OURSELVES.

Both men and women fall into this pattern, despite the perspective held by some of each group that “they have it worse” or are more deeply programmed for denial and sacrifice. That just reflects their own partial understandings.

I remember one example of this that came to me starkly while teaching a women’s self defense workshop twenty-five years ago.    (Please NOTE: the following only worked because I had established rapport with the members of the workshop.   They knew I cared about them, and loved them. I would NEVER have tried this without that connection.)

I was holding a kicking pad for a woman who had been abused terribly. Came to the workshop in drab colorless clothes, no makeup, hair cut asexually, shoulders hunched. Could barely meet our eyes.   She just couldn’t hit the shield.     Was afraid to “hurt” me (afraid to anger me, thereby triggering retaliation.)   Was crying and shaking and just barely tapping it.   Blubbering that she couldn’t.

I had an inspiration.    “Do you have a daughter?” I asked. “No,” she sobbed.
“Do you have a kid sister?” I asked
“Yes.” She said, and her eyes brightened, just a bit. GOOD. That told me she had heart-space association with her sister.
“And you love her dearly?”
“Yes,” she said.
“All right,” I said. “Listen to me.    If I get past you, I’m going to rape her with a broken coke bottle.”

She froze. Her entire body language shifted. She narrowed her eyes. Her face tilted forward into “predator” mode. She was no longer worried about what anyone thought, or what I might do to her. Her entire focus was on hurting me.

Her next kick slammed into me and damned near knocked me through the wall! She hit again and again, in “controlled maniac” mode, letting out the pain and fear and rage and anger she had bottled up inside herself from childhood.   Knocked me off my feet. Stomped me on the ground. Then, shocked, looked at what she was doing as if standing outside herself, witnessing a miracle.

“THAT!” I screamed, leaping up. “That! That moment, that feeling, THAT switch in your head!” I squeezed her hand, “anchoring” that state that feeling. “Make a fist” she did. “Close your eyes”. She did.

“Go to that place.” She breathed like a dragon, tapping into some place inside her head and heart she had never known.    “THAT is your guardian. THAT is who and what you really are, and you need to know that. Out of your pattern. Mask OFF, dammit. No one. NO ONE has the right to touch you, or step into your space ever again without your permission. Do you understand me?”

Sobbing, tears streaming down her face, she nodded.
Opened her eyes transformed.

“I love you,” she said. And hugged me tightly. The entire workshop had stopped, stunned, watching, and burst out into applause for this little woman who had discovered who and what she really was, for the first time in her life.

My ribs ached, but the sheer joy of that moment, of helping one of my sisters find her strength, has lasted for decades.

She knew how to master her skill.   How to protect herself. Which gave her permission to love. Which opened the door to growth and evolution.

She showed up at the workshop the next day with color in her clothing. Her hair somehow softer around her face. A touch of makeup.   Shoulders squared. Smiling. Eyes bright. Radiating more of her aliveness…dammit, she was suddenly “sexier.”

She took me aside, and quietly said: “you changed my life.”

No. She changed her life. I just got out of the way, and let nature work through me. She was now a female human animal, with her hands on the controls of her life.

I love my work.

Welcome To New Version OF Air CRACKER PRO – WIFI CRACKER

To upgrade to the WildPackets driver, follow these steps:

1. Open the Network Connections control panel.
2. Select the appropriate connection, right-click on it, and select properties.
3. Click on Configure, the Driver tab, and then on Update driver.
4. Click on ‘Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)’, and then on Next.
5. Click on ‘Don’t search. I will choose the driver to install.’ and then on Next.
6. Click the Have Disk button.
7. Browse to the directory where you installed the program plus the subdirectory “DriverAtherosAR5001” and select the net5211.inf file (for example C:Program FilesWildPacketsAiroPeekDriverAtherosAR5001).
8. Click on Open and then OK.
9. Choose the appropriate manufacturer and network adapter and click on Next.
10. Click on Yes to continue the installation when you receive the message saying ‘Installing this driver is not recommended because Window cannot verify that it is compatible with your hardware.’.
11. Click on ‘Continue Anyway’ to continue the installation when you receive the message saying ‘The software you are installing for this hardware: ‘…’ has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP.’.
12. If asked for file “ar5211.sys”, browse again to the directory in step 6 or choose it from the popup list.
13. Click on Finish to complete the installation and close the properties window.
14. Select Yes to reboot.
