08 Trend Gold Eyeshadow Pure Gold
In an attempt to live young, I looked into fashion magazines for this seasons beauty trend in search for eye shadow ideas, as opposed to my usual eye shadow style (the few times I bother with eye shadow;) Read: brown. If you read every magazine out there for a few months, you would realise that they feature eye shadow of every colour so I ignored the obviously magazine-styled ones, like many shades of green, yellow and blue, and have decided to accept the classy trend: the gold eyeshadow. There are two types. The first one is pure gold.

As you can see, pure gold basically means just plain gold all over the eye lids. The looks above are from the Chanel F/W08 runway show. Obviously I dont recommend you actually taking this look literally in real life..jpg)
Another show that had all gold eye shadow was the Bottega Veneta S/S08 show. Here, it looks simple and elegant -perfect for day and night..jpg)

The way Im planning on trying out this look is to first adjust by dabbing a tiny bit of the gold just at the inner corners of the eyes, so it will look as it does in the image above. Just a tiny dab to add a little something to the otherwise plain (but equally elegant) look. After trying it out a few times, Ill move on to try the all-gold look (like in the other Bottega Veneta images, not Chanel!)
So I headed to M.A.C. and found this colour: Goldmine. The makeup lady applied the colour all over my eyelids and honestly, it looked more like sparkly yellow than the pure gold in the Bottega Veneta show. But since it usually takes me a very long time to accept new makeup colours on myself and I wasnt bothered to search for the perfect gold, I just picked a Goldmine up. Its something for me to look foward trying on my next quiet night out.Ill blog about the other gold eye shadow look soon! Thoughts about this gold look?

A promise I had made to myself -to invest in high quality jewelry- was what stopped me from buying this ring for a couple of months. Though I couldnt bare it being sold out. The lovely simplified design and the material; a light grey stone combined with my favorite metal color rose gold won me over, I finally decided to get it and break my promise.
I could have foreseen someone tripping over my display columns when I placed them on the floor (it looked so nice though!). They got damaged but I actually do not mind at all and think theyve even improved by this little accident. Love how these white cuboidsmini buildings have gained more character and rawness.

2014 Gold Glitter Christmas iPhone Wallpapers
I hope yall are having wonderful Thanksgiving weeks wherever you may be! Im enjoying some time with my family in Virginia. Im thankful that my husband has the week off from school and that I work from home so we can spend some extra time here!
Since Thanksgiving is so late this year (Monday is December 1st!), I wanted to share these December iPhone wallpapers before I go into a food coma for the rest of the week. I do have one more fun post to share with you tomorrow, but itll be a quick one!
In case you didnt notice the trend from my 12 Days of Christmas ornaments, there was a lot of gold glitter going on, and I couldnt resist making that sparkly stuff the theme of this months iPhone wallpapers. I made three this time - the traditional monthly calendar and two Christmas-specific ones. You can download one or all of them for free at the end of the post.
For some reason, Ive had "Its the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" stuck in my head this week (I think I mustve heard it on a commercial or something?) and it seemed fitting for one of these wallpapers. I added a little abstract Christmas tree with a gold star on top for fun :).
Gold glittery dots were also a must for one of these - I couldnt resist! A wreath with "merry merry Christmas" below makes for quite a playful wallpaper if I do say so myself.
Then of course theres the monthly calendar. I love all three of these wallpapers, but this is the one that may end up on my phone since its so handy to have right there on the lock screen.

How to set the calendar as your lock screen on an iPhone:
- Click the link below to the download youd like to use (from your phone). This will take you to the image in Dropbox, where Ive set them up for you to download.
- In the bottom left corner there is an icon that looks like a box with an upward-facing arrow coming out of it. Click that and choose "save image." It will download to your photos.
- Go to your home screen and open your photos.
- Select the calendar image.
- Again click the button in the bottom left corner that looks like a box with an upward-facing arrow. Select the option that says "use as wallpaper."
- Click set, then choose "lock screen."

100 Year Old Indian Runner wins Gold Medal
Other participants, who were in 70s and 80s, of American Masters Games, cheered for Man Kaur when she ran on the track. The kind of motivation this 100-Year-Old has given with her energy levels and determination is priceless.
Gurdev Singh, Son of Man Kaur, says his Mother would go back to India to tell everyone that she has won medals for her country. It was Gurdev who encouraged his Mom to start running at the age of 93.
Man Kaur has won over 20 medals in Masters Games across the Globe. Earlier, She won Gold Medals in the Javelin throw and Shot Put.
