100 Safes Hints Level 71 to 80

100 Safes Hints Level 71 to 80

100 Safes Hints - Level 71 to 80.

Go here for the hints for other levels.

100 Safes is a point and click room escape game.  If you are stuck, then these hints will give you some help on how to complete the level.  This is not a complete walkthrough, but rather tips to assist you.  If you are really stuck, use the comments section below to request more help!

100 Safes level 71 Hints:

The question in level 71 is a simple VB script that you could execute as an XLS Macro to get the answer.
The algorithm is as follows:
  Make X equals Zero
  Make Y equals Zero
  Make Z equals Zero
 Repeat 10 times:
Make X the value of X plus one
Make Y the value of Y plus the value of X
The password will then be X plus (Y times 2)

100 Safes level 72 Hints:

Rotate the pieces to get a 3-didit number.
Pretty easy?

100 Safes level 73 Hints:

Safe 73 is probably one of the toughest levels in 100 Safes.  There is a picture of a big indian, a little indian tne then 2 binary numbers that you need to add together.  Each binary number consists of 2 bytes (8 bits in a byte). 00000001 00000011  and 00000011 00000001.

The crux is the 2 indians.  Most computer science graduates will know about the big endean and little endean representations of binary numbers.   It has all to do with the byte order.  (Note: the endeans do not impact the bit order inside the byte)

Big Endean:  The most significant byte is left-most.   This is how we normally woud read a binary number.  So the number next to the Big Indian is 259
Little Endean: The byte order is reversed.  Most significant byte is on the right.  So, with this 2 bytes number, you can swap the 2 bytes around and then read as normal.

100 Safes level 74 Hints:

Level 74 will test your geography knowledge of Africa, on the southern side.
The green country is Madagascar with the value 5.
Brown is Zimbabwe.  Light Violet is Botswana.  Red is Namibia.
Notice the order at the bottom from left to right.
The password for the safe will be the numbers for each country as per the list provided.

100 Safes level 75 Hints:

You need to hit the target in level 75.  You need to hit by flipping 8 or less switches.  If you run out of turns, you need to reset the level and try again.  The target is the green circle.  You hit it with the red circle that starts in the top left corner.

The switches top right control the X-axis and the switches at the bottom left control the Y-axis.
The switches are binary based, so the left-most switch will take the red-circle to half way and the right-most switch will move only a small bit.

100 Safes level 76 Hints:

Special days in March, May, and December.
The password for level 76 will be the day of the month for Pi-Day, Star-Wars-Day, and Christmas-Day.
Pi-day is celebrated on 14th of March because pi is rounded off to 3.14 (3 = March and 14 = the day)
Star Wars Day is celebrated on the 4th of May.  (May the force be with you = May the forth be with you).  Use 4 and not 04 for this one.
If you never celebrated Christmas, then use Google to find the day in December.

100 Safes level 77 Hints:

Change the patterns so that the sides of each hexagon touches the same color of its neighbour.

100 Safes level 78 Hints:

Level 78 contains an encrypted message.  The message reads "aol whzzdvyk mvy aopz slcls pz upulafupul tpubz vul."
This message should be easy to crack.
It is a simple algorithm where each alphabet letter is moved on the same number of letters.

100 Safes level 79 Hints:

The answer to this level
is this level.

This level is level 79.

100 Safes level 80 Hints:

There once was a lady named
Heather.  She lived happily
in a castle far, far away.
Right in the middle of
the castle was  a chicken
egg.  This was a very special
egg. Read carefully or else
no password will be revealed.

--> There is a number hidden in the paragraph.

Well done on solving the first 80 levels of 100 Safes!

100 Safes Hints Level 1 to 10

100 Safes Hints Level 1 to 10

100 Safes Hints for levels 1 to 10.

The first few levels are very easy and basic.  It will teach you some of the mechanics of 100 Safes.  You should not have much difficulty solving them!
For hints to the other levels... go here.

100 Safes level 1 hint:

In level 1, the answer is right at the top in big blue letters.  To solve this level:
1. Click on the safe
2. Enter 1234 on the keypad (use the mouse, or type 1234 on the keyboard)
3. When you are correct, notice the star turns green:

4. Click GO!
5. The safe will be open:

6. Click the gold in the safe to advance to the next level.

100 Safes level 2 hint:

There must be a light switch somewhere?
If you cannot find it, search for a dark red button in the top left area.  Click it and the light will go on.  You will then see the code.

100 Safes level 3 hint:

Get rid of the spider web!  (Tap the spider web... do not be afraid!)

100 Safes level 4 hint:

Rotate the 6 squares to see the hidden number.   If you struggle, then I will assist more... There are 2 numbers and the number on the right is a 6.

100 Safes level 5 hint:

This is a resistor.  You will solve this level by entering the ohm value for this resistor.
Here is a link to the Wiki article on the color coding for resistors.

In this level, you can ignore the gold band (the right-most color) as this is the tolerance of the resistor.
The 1st band is red.
The 2nd band is green.
The 3rd band is black - this black means multiple the value from the first 2 bands by 1.
So if you can figure out what red and green are, then you will have the code!

100 Safes level 6 hint:

There is a 4 digit code at the top.
Click on the dustbin to get a piece of paper with the code key.
Look at the purple lines of the code, these lines forms a box or part of a box around each number.  Match this pattern around each number with the code at the top...

100 Safes level 7 hint:

In level 7 you will see some music notes.
At the bottom is a hint:  Z = 26, Y = 25, etc.
The musical notes = C C G

100 Safes level 8 hint:

In level 8 you have some Roman Numerals written on a mirror.  There is a plus sign, so add them together...
Notice that they are a reflection in the mirror... :-)

100 Safes level 9 hint:

Here you have a light bulb and 5 switches.
Notice the number 12 in the bulb.
The binary for 12 would be 01100

100 Safes level 10 hint:

Set the time of the clock and the safe will open.
Look at your watch, or better, the time on the device where you are playing 100 safes!

100 Safes Hints Level 81 to 90

100 Safes Hints Level 81 to 90

100 Safes Hints - Level 81 to 90

Go here for the hints for other levels.

100 Safes is a point and click room escape game.  If you are stuck, then these hints will give you some help on how to complete the level.  This is not a complete walkthrough, but rather tips to assist you.  If you are really stuck, use the comments section below to request more help!

As we go into the level 80s, we will find some pretty clever & difficult levels, with only the odd easy one thrown in for good health.

100 Safes level 81 Hints:

At first this looks like a very difficult one... 16 ?? 68 88 ?? 98.... Cannot find a way to make the sequence work... But, Look at it from the up-side-down and you will see some elementary school mathematics.  Very easy indeed!  Now you should have no difficulty in getting the numbers where 2 red cars are parked.  Add the 2 numbers together and you will have the combination to the safe.

100 Safes level 82 Hints:

In level 82 you have 2 seconds to look at the 7 numbers.  You need to remember which number is which, then tap them in sequence, starting at number 1.    Each time you refresh the numbers will swap position.
Once you click them in the right sequence the safe will open.  If you make a mistake, you have to reset and start over.

100 Safes level 83 Hints:

Your task is to work out the pattern here.
Each row follow the same pattern from left to right.
Multiply all the digits in the number.

100 Safes level 84 Hints:

Match the famous people with their names!
I will help you a little bit.  The woman bottom left is Hellen Keller.  Top Right lady is Anne Frank.  The famous Olympic gymnast  (the largest photo) is Nadia Comaneci.  Below her is Sigmund Freud.  Top left is Albert Einstein sticking out his tongue.
Click on a face then on a name to draw the matching line.

100 Safes level 85 Hints:

A perfect game in ten-pin-bowling gives you a score of 300.  You have to bowl a perfect strike each time to achieve this number.
A Nelson in cricket is 111 runs.  There are some superstition about this number and you will see come umpires raising a leg when the batting team has 11 runs.
A birdy on a par 5 hole by a scratch golfer... this will be 4 shots.
I will leave the maths for you to do.

100 Safes level 86 Hints:

Psalm 119 is the longest Psalm in the Bible.  It is in fact not only the longest Psalm, but also the longest chapter in the Bible.

100 Safes level 87 Hints:

This level should keep you busy for a couple of minutes!
To help you solve this level, I recommend that you create a similar matrix in a tool like MS XLS:

Now you can mark off the facts and mark impossible combinations.
Some of the clues give you indirect information e.g. Clue #2 tells you:  Chris was not born in 1974 (because someone must have been born before him); The person in house #7 was not born in 1977 (because Chris was born after the person in that house);  Chris does not stay in house #7.

For more info on these type of puzzles, follow this link where the concept and solution methods are explained.  It also contains many of these type of puzzles for you to solve!

100 Safes level 88 Hints:

In level 88 you need to flip the play board clock-wise and anti-clock-wise using the two arrows.  You need to get the orange ball to exit at the green block.
Hint:  If you want the ball to go left, tap the left anti-clockwise arrow.  If you want the ball to go right, tap the right clockwise button.

100 Safes level 89 Hints:

This level ask you to identify the level where you saw this puzzle... Hint: It was one of the first 50 puzzles in 100 Safes.

100 Safes level 90 Hints:

To solve level 90 you need to find the 15 matched pictures hidden behind the black boxes.
You have 17 turns, but that should be more than enough because you do not loose a turn if you make a correct match.  If you run out of turns you need to reset the level.  Each time you reset the pictures will move randomly to other locations.     My best is to complete the level with 9 turns remaining.  Awesome!
